Just another day,...sorta

My first blog post! What to say?
had a taste of what it will be like to pick up Grace from the Dunn site today. Dare I say Hectic! and then she let me know that she wasn't going to like her new teacher's class. ( she's in this class for 3 years!!) this is going to be so hard to help her adjust to New, Different and Scary. Most of all her friends are going to be placed in the other teacher's class and She is reportedly FUNNER! This does not bode well. But we know that Grace will manage to find her way and make this experience worth it. She's a smart kid, and she will make new friends and reacquaint herself with some old ones.  Growing up is so hard and being on this side of it is just as hard!
But she did manage to get over this and even got another gift certificate for her fund raiser for GreenHill!!  I so LOVE this kid! She and her friends have procured over $200 worth of stuff to raffle off. these are just 8 and 9 year old children. I am so proud of Grace for coming up with this idea and then enrolling her friends in helping her. Their goal is to raise $100, but I'm sure that they will raise much more than that. Of course this has made things a bit chaotic around here. (Violin recital Saturday, posters and cards to make, Sunday, School - Move up Day, She had to share her mouse, stopping by Nest to get another gift cert., Circus class, Children's Choir tryout, Going to the school to help pack for the big move and talk about Lice!, violin lesson, walk in the park, Community Village meeting, 3rd grader's going to Subway, school picnic, Bangra performance, Cirque Du Solie, Volunteering at the Library for the Summer Reading Program, The kid's Raffle for GreenHill, working on the Fruitbooth skit, Last day of school and then leave for Hawaii, missing out on being in Girl Circus, 4th of July, Oregon Country Fair, Summer camps - Imagine That!, Roller Derby camp, and possibly Booher Fiddle Camp.) Busy non-stop, means that I'm Alive, right!?? OK so better get to it,...Life that is!
